Lawrence Yam-leung CHEUNG 
I grew up in Hong Kong, China. I got my BA (English), MPhil (Linguistics) and MSc (Comp. Sci.) all from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2003, I went to UCLA (Linguistics Dept) to do my PhD. I got my PhD in Linguistics in Dec 2008 and am now back in Hong Kong. I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Dept of Decision Sciences, Chinese University of Hong Kong. I am involved in a Chinese Natural Language Processing research project. My Research area include Syntax, Semantics, Chinese Linguistics and Natural Language Processing. I am a Christian. I went to West Los Angeles Chinese Bible Church while I was in LA. I now go to Abundant Life Christian Church in Tokwawan, Hong Kong. |

To me, language is one of the wonderful creations that reveals God.
Despite the immense complexity of natural language, we all master
at least one language relatively effortlessly. Isn't it amazing?
